As soon as Ralph Goddard saw Holdup suspenders at a neighborhood hardware store about 10 years ago, he was certain he wanted a pair...."I bought some, and I knew as soon as I saw that nail in them, that they were going to be great. A longtime suspender wearer himself, Herman was constantly battling suspenders that would slip when the auto pattern maker put tools in his pockets.
